Adults learn English while their children, ages 3 months – high school, enjoy early literacy, tutoring/homework help and pro-social recreation programming. West Inter-Faith Free Legal ClinicServing Our Neighbors (SON) Ministries, in partnership with the Columbus Bar Association (CBA), offers a monthly, free legal clinic for free legal advice given by attorneys who are members of CBA. To qualify, clients must have income no more than 250% above the federal poverty guidelines. Contact: Kim Emch

SON Ministries Summer Lunch CampA USDA Summer Food Service Program partnership between Serving Our Neighbors (SON) Ministries and UALC for children in Hilliard and Powell, grades K–12, who are facing poverty. We serve in many offsite locations in the summer months. Children also join cam with crafts, games, books and supervised activities. For information, visit the SON Ministries website here. UALC Community GardenThe Community Garden at Mill Run supplies fresh produce for individuals and families at Serving Our Neighbors (SON) Ministries’ Hilliard Free Lunch Summer Camp for Kids program, the Hilltop, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, and through Faith Mission. For vegetables, or to help in the garden (full families welcome), contact our garden stewards with any questions. Coats for KidsThe people of UALC generously donate funds every fall so that winter jackets can be purchased and donated to "dignity stores" where families facing poverty in Hilliard can purchase new coats for their children at a drastically reduced price. Now, children are being given vouchers from their schools on a referral basis. If you have questions, or a need, contact Kim Emch, Serving Our Neighbors (SON) Ministries.
