AWANA Clubs®

Preparing kids to faithfully follow Christ for a lifetime.

What is Awana?

Awana features games, stories, songs and awards. A little like Scouting, boys and girls earn uniforms to wear to club and work at home with their families in workbooks to learn Bible verses and complete activities. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, from 2 Timothy 2:15. Find out about Awana® International. It takes many caring adults to make Club Nights run successfully. See below for information on joining our great team of Volunteers.

When do we meet, what are the age groups and how do I register?

We meet on Wednesdays, 6:30-7:45 pm at Mill Run during the school year, starting Sept. 12, 2018. We have three clubs:
     •  Cubbies: Age 3–Pre-K (parents must stay on site) Waitlist here.
     •  Sparks: Kindergarten-Grade 2  Waitlist here.
     •  Truth & Training (T&T): Grades 3-4, and Grades 5-6 Waitlist here.
Note: Waitlist means we have a need for more volunteers before we can register additional clubbers. Please contact awana@ualc.org if you're able to volunteer.

What happens at an Awana meeting?

We have three activities each night: Game Time, Large Group Time, and Small Group Time. Clubbers play games, recite and discuss Bible verses they have learned, and learn how to live a Christian life. They also earn rewards for dressing in their uniform and for the week’s theme. Use the following resources during Club:
     •  Cubbie Verse Calendar
     •  Spark Theme Calendar
     •  Parent Guide

What are the fees?

There are annual dues of $25 to participate, along with a $15 uniform fee, if needed. Please don't let money deter you from participating. Inquire about payment plans or scholarships by emailing awana@ualc.org.
