Caring for Aging Parents Workshops

Adult children can find support and information about how to care for aging parents. Topics include housing, health and finances. Offered as a series of workshops at various times during the year. Jeff Morlock, 614-451-3736, ext 4652, adults@ualc.org.
 

Celebrate Recovery®

Anyone struggling with life issues such as alcoholism, overeating, codependency, sexual brokenness, or financial problems can find help here. Celebrate Recovery is a Christian, 12-step program dealing with all sorts of hurts, habits and hang-ups. DivorceCare®

Is a friendly support group for people going through a separation or divorce. It meets weekly (13 weeks) and is for designed to help you face the challenges and move toward healing and rebuilding your life. Each session contains a DVD teaching covering a wide range of topics, followed by group discussion. DivorceCare® is led by people who understand what you are going through and are examples of the healing and restoration that can occur after the breakup of a marriage. Friendship Bible Class – Young Adult Special Needs Bible Class

A Bible class for young adults with special needs. It's an hour of a Bible lesson, songs, crafts, snack and prayer. All participants attend with an adult companion. Offered on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:30 during the school year at Mill Run. Linda Jokiniemi, jalg76@me.com.

"Grands" Small Group

A group of grandparents meeting to encourage one another as we strive to help our grandchildren follow Jesus. All grandparents and step grandparents welcome. Meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month, 9:30-11:00 am, at Lytham Road. Christine Thompson, christinejthomp@gmail.com.
 

GriefShare®

For those journeying through one of life's most difficult seasons. Meetings consist of DVD-based teaching, small group discussion, and workbook assignments. A broad range of topics is covered to help whether the loss you're grieving is recent or happened years ago. Becki Bork, bbork@ualc.org.
 

Hope Connection Support Group

Support for those with friends or family who have mental health issues; come to share, learn and be encouraged. Meets the third Tuesday of the month, 1:00-3:00 pm at Mill Run. Kathy Felty, kfelty@columbus.rr.com

Home Communion

Takes communion the first Sunday of each month to those in care facilities, hospitals, or at home. Becki Bork, bbork@ualc.org.

LIFESource

Reaches out with the hope Christ gives us, to men and women who struggle with sexual and relationship brokenness, such as pornography, same-sex attraction, emotional dependency, extra-marital affairs, sexual abuse, and intimacy problems. Red Cross Blood Drive

Retirement Home/Adults

Visitation Ministers
