Advent Mid-Week Services

168 Film Mini-Fest and Screening

IFI Training Conference – January 13 

International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) is a registered Ohio State University student organization and Christian community group seeking to promote friendship and hospitality for international students. Training is required for some events. Join us for basic training or specific workshops where you’ll learn ways to connect with people of different nationalities and faiths. Speakers include Rich Mendola, Pastor Dave Mann and many more. This is a great opportunity for beginners and veterans in international relations. Saturday, Jan. 13 at Mill Run. Conference Training and Workshops
If you are new to volunteering with IFI or are a veteran, this one-day conference and workshops are a great opportunity to become better equipped for international student ministry. $20 fee includes lunch. 8:30 am-4:00 pm at Mill Run.

Learn the skills you’ll need to relate well to an international friend. 9:30 am-12:00 pm at Mill Run. 

“We Have a Blog?” 

Are you aware that UALC publishes a blog called Daily Bible Blast? The purpose of this ministry is to reach more people with God’s Word. All the writers are members of UALC or connected through ministry, and we are always looking to add more writers. The current sermon series is the basis for each posting. Follow along as our writers use their life experiences to put new and varied slants to familiar texts. Visit for a link to the Daily Bible Blast which includes the current Advent devotion of the day. A bookmark, listing the daily readings, is generated for each sermon series, and is available online, or a printed copy can be found in the lobbies of both Mill Run and Lytham Road. 

Lytham Road Adult Sunday School 

The 10:15 am Adult Sunday school at Lytham Road will be taking a break for the month of December. Classes will resume January 7. Everyone is welcome. 

Kids’ Church 

There will be no Kids’ Church on Dec. 24 or 31. We’ll be back on Jan. 7. New children always welcome so invite a friend, or two. Find details at

UALC Preschool and Kindergarten 

Open House January 11 
For nearly 50 years, we have offered high quality, part-time programs for 3-,4-,5-, year-olds. Children experiment, investigate, create and discover in an environment based on Christian values. MSM Group is Switching to Sundays!
Middle School Ministry Group, which historically meets on Wednesday nights, will move to Sundays beginning January 7! Come join us as we expand and grow our community, learning, worshiping, and having fun together! Sundays beginning Jan. 7, 2018, 4:30-6:30 pm at Mill Run. Register here.
Next Step Workshop - Lord’s Prayer

High School Ministry (HSM)

Zoo Lights Outreach Event
Invite your friends to the Columbus Zoo as we enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights, drink hot cocoa and celebrate Christmas together. Friday, Dec. 15, 6:00-10:00 pm. Meet at Mill Run. Fee is $10 and includes transportation and zoo admission (let us know if you're a zoo member). Register here
HSM Winter Retreat - Feb. 2-4, 2018

In-Town Mission Trip – Adults 65+

New Support Group Coming

Dig into a Community Bible Study

Would you like to sit at the feet of Jesus? You can still join during week 18 of a 30-week journey through the Gospel of Luke. Community Bible Study (CBS) is an interdenominational, in-depth Bible study for adults and includes small-group discussion and large-group teaching. Thursdays, beginning Jan. 4, 7:00 pm at Mill Run. Monthly Luncheon and Program – Adults 65+

Share fellowship and a catered lunch followed by a program from “Downsize with a Heart,” an organization that helps people sort and pack belongings and takes donations of unwanted furniture when preparing for a move. Cost of lunch is donation. WOW Winter Study

Renewing the Mind Equipping Course

GriefShare® is for those journeying through one of life’s most difficult seasons. Meetings consist of DVD-based teaching, small group discussion, and workbook assignments.
