Alpha

Alpha

Got questions about life or faith? Come to Alpha and join the discussion.

When is Alpha?

Alpha is offered at various times throughout the year. A delicious meal is included and childcare is available for the evening session. One session will be offered in the fall (to register, click on time below):
Monday evenings, 6:15-8:45 pm, from Sept. 18-Nov. 20, at the home of Alan Starr. Session includes the Holy Spirit retreat on Saturday, Nov. 4, 9:00 am-4:30 pm at Lytham Road.

We're offering training for individuals or groups interested in using the Alpha DVD's, outside of the traditional in-church setting. Click here to let us know you're interested in training so we can contact you.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. Anyone interested in finding out more about Christianity is welcome. Alpha is a conversation where no question is seen as too simple or too hostile.

What Happens at Alpha?

Alpha is a place to join others in a relaxed atmosphere. Each evening session begins with a dinner followed by an engaging presentation, and then small-group discussions. For daytime sessions, the meal follows the presentation and discussion.

What Does Alpha Cover?

Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus die? How can I be sure of my faith? Why and how should I read the Bible? Why and how do I pray? How does God guide us? Who is the Holy Spirit? How can I resist evil? Why and how should we tell others about Jesus? Does God still heal today? Alpha covers all these and any other questions you might have.

How Much Does Alpha Cost?

There is no cost to attend Alpha. Everyone is welcome. Childcare is available at no cost (when offered). Dinner or lunch is included.
